As an avid endurance enthusiast, I love staying active and challenging myself through running, biking, Tough Mudders, and triathlons. When I’m not training, you’ll often find me listening to an audiobook—usually something in the sci-fi, fantasy, or personal development world. I also enjoy sharing my passion for movement and wellness by teaching group exercise classes at the Y and encouraging others to stay active and feel their best.

At the heart of everything I do is a genuine passion for helping others. As a licensed massage therapist, I specialize in deep tissue massage, sports therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Ashiatsu, cupping, and gua sha. I’ve had the privilege of working with athletes from a variety of sports, helping them improve mobility, support recovery, and continue doing the activities they love.

Outside of work and training, I enjoy the quieter side of life on my hobby farm in Iron Mountain, Michigan, where I spend time with my Alaskan Malamute, Kaladin. Whether I’m helping someone through massage therapy, encouraging others in a fitness class, tackling my next endurance challenge, or enjoying life on the farm, I value staying active, connecting with people, and helping others live and move well.

Much of my journey has been dedicated to helping others feel better, but it wasn’t until recently that I felt truly empowered to do just that.

After spending 14 years working as a massage therapist, I began taking classes to pursue an undergraduate degree in pre-med studies. The further I progressed, the more frustrated and disillusioned I became with the Western healthcare system – specifically how patients are treated and managed. This disappointment led me to Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, where I graduated in 2013 with bachelor of science degrees in biology and nutrition, and a master of science in Oriental medicine

I have been fortunate to train with a number of exceptional professionals, including three years with two Chinese physicians. Personal interest has led me to hone my skills in sustainable recovery treatments for food, smoking, alcohol and drug addictions, as well as acute and chronic sports and ergonomic injuries.

Experience, knowledge and desire push me every day to help patients discover the powerful healing properties they have within themselves. I am honored to work with each and every one who asks me to do so, and will always strive to make their needs the foundation of their treatment and healing.

“Novia and her support staff are AMAZING!!!! From the moment you walk in the door, you feel the positive energy. Tiff is a rockstar and always makes me feel welcome. Everyone is very attentive and concerned about any needs you have. I’ve been seeing Novia for about a month and a half to treat migraines with acupuncture, and the frequency and intensity of my migraines has decreased so much. I was getting migraines 25 days a month and have 5 rescue medications. I’m down to about 1 mild migraine a week, and the rescue meds actually work.
